Since September this year, auto theft investigators from York Regional Police in Aurora, Ontario, have seen five incidents of Apple’s AirTag trackers being used to steal cars, and now it appears to be happening in the US, too. Thieves then track the tag to the victim’s home, typically in a less public spot, and steal it by breaking into the car and using a mechanics’ diagnostic rig to convince the car to accept the thieves’ key....
