What Are the Dates for the Next Sony State of Play Event?
The most recent State of Play was on September 13. It covered updates for games coming to the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and PlayStation VR 2 hardware. We’ll update here once we have details of the next event.
Which Products Were Announced?
At the last State of Play, the company revealed or provided updates on the following games for the PlayStation 5 (bolded titles will also be available for PlayStation 4):
Tekken 8Like a Dragon: Ishin! (February 2023): A remaster of the samurai spin-off of the Yakuza series of action RPGs, which is becoming available outside of Japan for the first time.Hogwarts Legacy (February 10, 2023) with a PS-exclusive “Haunted Hogsmeade” quest and items.Pacific DriveSyndualityStellar Blade (formerly Project Eve)Rise of the Ronin: a new action-RPG project from Ninja Gaiden developer Team Ninja, launching 2024.God of War: Ragnarok, including a limited-edition controller based on the game. The title launches November 9.

Sony also offered more details on its PlayStation Stars loyalty program. Stars, which is free to join, lets players earn points through completing activities; they can then trade those points in for digital collectibles based on game characters and Sony devices from throughout the company’s history. It will launch in Asia in late September and become available in other territories in the following weeks.
